So if I want to go ahead, how does it work?
Firstly we will have a discovery meeting or call. This enables us to fully understand your business or brand and make sure we are clear about what you want your website to achieve.
We then talk through some options for the design direction, and general style and cover things such as the required pages, sections of information architecture.
If you are using us to help develop a brand identity or do a rebrand, then this is where we will begin – by developing the visual aspects of your brand, such as the logo, colour scheme and typographic choices.
Before starting the website, we will also conduct some market research to look into your business sector and understand your competitors and your audience.
Once this is complete, we will start building the site and flooding it with your content, images and resources.
I don't know what I need - can you help?
Yes! We can help with all aspects of your site, from helping you to define your initial concept, to the final performance tweaks.
I don't have a domain name or hosting can you sort this?
Yes! We are also web hosts, so offer great hosting packages, which can include a free domain for one year, and free SSL for the entirety of your hosting package with Backward Design. See here for more information.
I already have a website, can I keep it?
Possibly. We can hep to review your current site and determine how effectively it is accomplishing your business needs, and whether it satisfies the needs of your end users. Generally speaking, we can work with an exisitng website, but often recommend starting from scratch, to achieve the best results.
Once my website is complete, is that it?
Once your website is built we recommend opting in to our monthly website support and maintenance packages. A website that is simply left will soon get out of date, which can compromise it’s effectiveness and security. See here for more details
How long does it take to make a site?
This depends on a lot of factors, such as the size and complexity of the site, the speed at which feedback is responded to, to name but a few. On average, my typical clients will be online within a month. If you need a very quick turnaround, please get in touch and see how we can help.
